Our Mission
We knew the first hand stories of homelessness, hunger and hopelessness. It is our mission to show this same community in need the love, hope, support and encouragement we have found. We hope to restore life, and want unhoused people to know that they are not forgotten, that they matter and that they are loved.
Who We Are
At Gracie’s Giving Hands, we are committed to uplifting and empowering some of the most vulnerable members of our community. We provide comprehensive support to formerly incarcerated individuals, disabled persons, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness. Our services include assistance with securing stable housing, referrals to essential mental health and medical care, and access to drug and alcohol treatment programs.
In addition, we offer free clothing, hygiene essentials, and toiletries, ensuring that everyone we serve can maintain their dignity and well-being.
Through our work, we strive to create a community where everyone has the opportunity to rebuild their lives and thrive. By addressing the basic needs and providing critical resources, we help pave the way for personal growth, recovery, and reintegration. Our efforts not only transform individual lives but also contribute to the overall strength and resilience of our society.
At Gracie’s Giving Hands, we believe that by extending compassion and support, we can inspire change and foster a more just and equitable world for all.
Across all of our efforts, we dedicate ourselves to restoring hope, health, trust and dignity to the communities and individuals we serve. Our message is that every human being matters, is valuable, and is loved. We are a group of multi-disciplined volunteers who serve thousands of unhoused people -- children, teens, families, women, veterans, elders -- on Skid Row and throughout Los Angeles County.
